Chef Training Program

Quick Facts

Requirements 

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Must no longer be attending a secondary school

  • Must have successfully completed at least 16 secondary school credits

  • Proof of Canadian citizenship or Landed Immigrant status

Application Process

To register, please come in person to complete an application form.

Please bring with you:

  • Official high school transcript or credit summary (contact your former school if you don't have it)

  • Photo ID

  • Proof of Ontario residency

  • Immigration Documentation (for landed immigrants or refugees)

Applicants are interviewed before being accepted.

THERE IS NO REGISTRATION OVER THE PHONE.

Fees

$700.00 Material Fee which includes:

  • Uniforms

  • Chef Utensils

  • Textbooks

  • Safety Certifications

Participants are responsible for the following fees: 

  • Ministry of Training, Colleges and University Exams 

When

September 2012

  • 32 weeks - in-class instruction

  • 8 weeks - work placement 

  • Monday to Friday 8:30 am - 2:30 pm (full day classes) 

  • Work placement times may vary
