General Information

  • Work at your own pace

  • Decide when and where to study

  • Have the added flexibility of starting and finishing a course at any time of the year

  • ILC credits available in the new curriculum (OSS) and the old curriculum (OSIS)

  • Full credit course takes approximately 4 months to complete (estimate)

  • students may only take one ILC credit at a time

  • students will only be given 5 lessons of a course at a time

Independent Learning Centre (ILC)To Stay Active

  • Complete at least 3 lessons per course within the first month

  • Hand in at least one lesson per week 

  • if lessons are not submitted for a period of 12 weeks, the student is archived

  • to return to active standing, the student will be required to re-register and pay a processing fee of $35

Students Requiring Proof of Attendance

  • ILC students must complete 3 lessons the first week and one lesson every week thereafter

  • students in teacher-taught courses including co-op must attend for 2 weeks before a letter can be issued

  • agencies may be given ongoing reports as agreed upon by both parties

 

Deposits

Students must pick up and return books to their assigned teachers only. All book deposits are fully refunded when books/tapes are returned in good condition.

Regular Text Books: $25.00 (all courses have regular text books)

Certain courses may require deposits for the following:
Novels: $25.00
Hard cover texts: $50.00
Audiotapes: $40.00
