On Saturday, November 2, 2019, parents from across the system will converge on Bishop Ryan Catholic Secondary School for an annual parent conference that provides an array of information on family and parenting issues, and explores the latest trends and developments in Catholic education.
Be sure to mark your calendar ... you won't want to miss this valuable opportunity to connect with other parents, educators and community partners.
The conference begins with a Mass celebrated by the Very Reverend Cornelius O’Mahony, Vicar for Education at 9:00 a.m., followed by a keynote address by Mary Gordon, Founder/President of Roots of Empathy on “Nurturing empathy in young children” at 10:30 a.m., and two morning workshops. A light lunch at 1:00 p.m. will conclude the day’s events.
The Parent Conference is an annual event hosted by the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board to support parents in their roles as primary educators of their children. The conference is held free of charge.
