“I’m dressed this way for the United Way.”
Red is the traditional colour of love, and on November 13, staff at the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board will be rocking the crimson to show their “Local Love” for the United Way.
Red & White Day marks the mid-point of the HWCDSB’s 2019 United Way employee campaign whose goal this year is to raise $100,100 – through payroll donations and special events – for the United Way. United Way funds support a number of local charities, including those near and dear to our hearts like the Catholic Youth Organization, Boys’ and Girls’ Club of Hamilton, and St. Joseph’s Villa.
On November 13, for a donation of a loonie or toonie, staff are invited to trade in their business clothes for red & white attire in support of the United Way. Schools, too, are invited to take part. Together, we can improve lives locally.
The Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board’s United Way employee campaign runs from October 24 to November 24, 2019.
