It’s not often that a daughter inspires her own mother’s career path. 2014 St. Charles Personal Support Worker (PSW) graduate Stevie Lynn Rode did just that. She helped rekindle her mom Deanna Lynn Rode’s dream of helping others for a living.
“I did have an interest in it when I finished high school,” Deanna explained, “I was too lazy to return for a chemistry course I needed. I was kicking my behind about that.” After seeing Stevie Lynn’s success, she’s following in her daughter’s footsteps. Deanna will soon be a proud St. Charles PSW graduate herself.
Like 95% of our PSW graduates, Stevie Lynn is employed. She’s now working in home care for CBI. Deanna plans to join her in the same field shortly.
We proudly applaud both these wonderful ladies for improving their lives with adult education!
